The Stone Center on Socio-Economic Inequality is seeking applicants for a ninth cohort of postdoctoral scholars. These full-time, two-year positions will begin in August 2026.
The Stone Center awarded funding to three CUNY Graduate Center students and two Stone Center postdoctoral scholars to attend the LIS Introductory Summer Workshop from June 29 through July 3 in Luxembourg.

The Stone Center’s sixth cohort of postdoctoral scholars, Zhexun Mo and Severin Rapp, will start new positions this fall after they complete their two-year terms at the Graduate Center. Mo will join the economics department of Laval University, and Rapp will join the London School of Economics's International Inequalities Institute.

When Junior Scholar Bobbie Justin came to the Graduate Center, she already had more than a decade of experience working directly with patients as a medical social worker. She entered the Ph.D. program in Social Welfare determined to focus her research on improving care for older adults with disabilities.
An eighth cohort of postdoctoral scholars will join the Stone Center for two-year appointments that begin in August 2026. Jasmine Simington was selected for the position that focuses on wealth inequality and is affiliated with the GC Wealth Project. Christopher Pulliam was selected for the position that broadly focuses on mobility and poverty.
