Ruth Milkman, in this presentation for the Stone Center’s 2020 “Inequality by the Numbers” virtual workshop, offers an overview of inequality as it relates to the U.S. labor movement. She covers the history of unionization, focuses on the causes and consequences of union decline, and closes with an assessment of future prospects for labor organizing.
