Virtual Workshop 2020: The Growing Relevance of Wealth and Inheritance
Salvatore Morelli, in this presentation for the Stone Center’s 2020 “Inequality by the Numbers” virtual workshop, explores the increasing importance of wealth inequality, which has been rising since the 1980s in high-income countries. He presents different methods of estimating and measuring wealth, and discusses the growing relevance of inheritance to understanding inequality. Morelli is a senior scholar at the Stone Center on Socio-Economic Inequality and, as of September 2020, a faculty member at Roma Tre University.
