
Junior Scholar
Hayoung Jeong is a Ph.D. candidate in environmental psychology at the Graduate Center, specializing in housing policy, racial capitalism, and urban governance. Her research examines how market-based approaches to urban governance shape the state’s management and redevelopment of public land. Her work examines the Community Land Trust (CLT) movement to explore how the state’s control over public land could address racial and economic inequality in urban development. Jeong is a member of the East New York CLT and has taught undergraduate courses in research methods and urban studies as an adjunct lecturer at City College of New York and Queens College.
