The inaugural Stone Wealth Inequality Lecture was given on July 18, 2017, by Gabriel Zucman, economist at the University of California, Berkeley, and author of the 2015 book, The Hidden Wealth of Nations: The Scourge of Tax Havens. His Stone Lecture, “Tax Evasion and Inequality,” was delivered during the 2017 Meeting of the Society for the Study of Economic Inequality (ECINEQ).

The second lecture was presented at the Graduate Center on April 11, 2018, by Edward N. Wolff, Professor of Economics at New York University and author of A Century of Wealth in America, in which he provides extensive evidence and analysis of wealth trends and of the interplay between wealth and income. Drawing on decades of research, he delivered the second annual Stone Lecture, then joined in conversation with Eduardo Porter, economics reporter for The New York Times.
