Leading thinkers grapple with the major issues surrounding women’s rights and gender equality, in a discussion inspired by UN Women’s flagship report Progress of the World’s Women 2015-2016: Transforming Economies, Realizing Rights. Globally, there have been important gains in education, in the labor market, and in leadership positions for women. Yet glaring gender gaps remain in earnings, access to social security, and the division of paid and unpaid care work. Hear from four experts whose work spans a wide range of research and activism: Shahra Razavi, Gita Sen, Nancy Folbre, and Janet Gornick, who serves as moderator.
