Although American women have made gains in recent decades, gender gaps at work persist. Relevant policies in the U.S. lag behind those in other wealthy countries. Gail Collins, New York Times columnist, hosts a panel of leaders from the worlds of entertainment, public policy, research, and business to explore innovative and feasible solutions to gender inequality in the American workplace. Participants include:

  • Michele Ganeless, media consultant and former president of Comedy Central.
  • Janet Gornick, Graduate Center professor of political science and sociology and director of the Stone Center on Socio-Economic Inequality.
  • Heidi Hartmann, president and founder of the Institute for Women’s Policy Research.
  • Michele Coleman Mayes, co-author of Courageous Counsel: Conversations with Women General Counsel in the Fortune 500, and vice president and general counsel of the New York Public Library.
