Reducing Inequality Network (RIN) Scholar

    Sauda Muhammad is a doctoral student in sociology at the Graduate Center and a clinical research manager at an infectious disease lab. Prior to joining the Graduate Center, she worked as a project manager and research analyst for an infectious disease clinic in Washington, D.C. While there, she worked on social epidemiology and evaluation, helping minority communities access primary and specialty care and addressing systemic health inequities through working on a longitudinal study centered on HIV care in adults living with HIV in the DC metro region. She is currently researching social epidemiology and health disparities in the African diaspora in urban centers. Her research interests include epidemiology/evaluation, Black/African/Afro-Caribbean public health outcomes, the social determinants of health and the impacts of gentrification on the health of the African diaspora. She is also a Provost Enhancement Fellow.
