Selen Özdoğan is a Ph.D. student in Economics at the Graduate Center and a research assistant for the National Bureau of Economic Research Health Program. Before starting her Ph.D., Özdoğan worked as a research analyst at the Brookings Institution for two years, focusing on issues related to global poverty and health, development financing, and spatial determinants of economic development. Her research interests lie at the intersection of development, environmental, and labor economics, with a focus on health and migration. She received her B.A. in Economics from Bogazici University in Istanbul and her M.A. in International and Development Economics from Yale.
